The young librarian hadn't spoken a word about the snake-charmer to anyone...besides someone who had been there to see it all in action.
Although the priest's speed was fairly quick, the dark figure was much faster than he was...until the snakes appear again. Another shrill yell escaped the silver-haired scarecrow before he picked up the pace.
"What are these things!? Where are they coming from!? Can't you make them stop!? What do we dooooo~!? GO RUN HIM DOWN SO THAT WE CAN GET SOME ANSWERS!!"
One had to wonder who exactly the priest thought he was or what in the world he was doing as he ordered his 'prisoner' around. His behavior made one hate to think about how the other members of his order worked...unless he was the only one like that.

"These are his servants, however. . ."
The 'Darkness' sped up to try catching up with the Mutated Vampire who he despised for what had occurred. Makai had found the area where this man had sealed himself away within a dark void to prevent the spread of a terrible Plague. In finding this being, he decided to use an incantation to make the presence his servant for theatrical purposes sch as inexplicable music beginning to play from the shadows. However, it seemed he had finally underestimated someone far below their true mark as today showed with the crrent situation.
". . .I control the shadows."
Writhing with life that any good christian would call unholy, the black Serpents were all simultaneously pulled back within the blackness. Devoured came to mind as the appropriate term, fuel for a greater purpose. It seemed that this presence followed every last request made of him by the Priest for some reason that continued to go unexplained at the moment. A sudden burst of speed was given as the Dark Knight #1 suddenly ran into a wall that had shadows due to the angle of light.
He vanished into the solid wall entirely.
Just where the village began to end a cry of surprise was heard in a voice similar to the one held by Makai. Should the Priest arrive in time to prevent any altering of the situation he might find a prisoner bound by tendrils of darkness. A trait often only held be a man who's voice the Choreographer of the Macabre had impersonated earlier.

The dark figure's quiet efficiency nearly caused the priest to man-blush in awe.
"A-alright!" he shouted as he continued running, sliding around a corner with a glance as he saw the figure run and disappear straight into a wall. Although it seemed as if things would be going good...that trick did little to ease the sudden lurch he felt in his chest. Even if this dark figure turned out to be someone on the side of good...the resemblance was a little too close for Luel's comfort.
The Agent's ears perked up when he heard the cry of surprise. "Great!" he said to himself as he took off in that direction.

Perhaps Luel should ask the Dark Figure to change his appearance a bit if he didn't want them to look like his Ex-boyfriend. After all it seemed such a simple task was within the being's power to look like another. Either way, sounds of struggle were coming from an area where the village had it's borders begin. Has Makai gotten any further it would have likely been impossible to catch him. In fact his escape would have been even sooner if his current enemy had not broken free of his bonds.
Did the disease he had contracted kill off the entire village? Or was something much more sinister the cause behind it all. It still remained a mystery to this very moment, making one wonder that if the Dark Figure truly were responsible that he might not stick around so easily.

It had nothing to do with exes!
It took only a few moments for the priest to close in on the pair. The amount of time it took was far sooner than it would have been if he were running at the pace he had been...Perhaps he just performed better when others weren't looking?
"H-hey!" the silver-haired man called out as he raised his revolver, another bullet with Makai's name on it slicing through the air.
Although this time it was fired on purpose. This time, the aim wouldn't be accidental.
Maybe.
If anything, he didn't aim for any vital parts. The snake charmer's arrest was top priority at the moment. Or at least being able to detain him long enough to get some answers!

Makai would be found struggling somewhat against his bonds until he realized Luel was present. Tentacles of darkness kept him confined so long as no sunlight washed upon them anytime soon. If any true light did touch them, then in all likelyhood that incredible power over the shadows and night would likely fade away into nothingess. A new bullet wound made itself known in the dark fancy old clothing worn by the Mutated Vampire. Blood seeped through only for a few moments before stopping entirely, showing the extent to which his regeneration capabilities spread.
"Go on. . .empty the entire gun into me, it won't help you any. I've had far worse than this in the past done to me."
He looked at the Priest with Serpentine eyes that could burn into the very core of another's soul with their fiery orange depths. If anything he was testing the patience of all those around him, patiently waiting for a chance to strike back. Perhaps he already had a plan in mind to torment his captors.

"I thought as much." he said calmly. His hand was still raised although the gun soon dropped, the trigger guard keeping it from falling. It dangled from his finger for a few seconds before it was slipped back into its holster. "If it were up to me everything would be done without bullets."
Whether or not he meant completely without harm was unclear.
The Agent's pale eyes gazed at him almost apologetically as he reached up, toying with his ear for a second. "I need to know why you're in the village."

"Do you. . .really want the truth?"
The way he asked it had that old-school feel of a truly vicious villain, not one of the same years as the RKO. Had Luel known anything of fighting those who came from Romania centuries ago. . .he might have recognized it. But perhaps he needn't do such a thing afterall, as the Dark Figure seemed to grow impatient with the actions of his temporary master. Oh the terrible things he had been forced to participate in as his strength returned over time. . .
"Say what you like, I know what happened here."

"Yes, I want the truth." the agent said quickly, casting a glance at the dark figure. He counted himself lucky to be this far with his participation...hopefully he could get a tiny bit more out of the serpent before 'relationships' began to collapse.

A devilish smirk came to the lips of Makai, having lured the Priest to the exact point in time to get a little revenge. But when he spoke again it was with a much different voice than before. He had chosen a voice which many new just by the sound, let alone the lines which were said in the following sentences. It was the voice of an actor called Jack Nicholson.
"YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!"
Just after speaking he began to laugh despite the restraints which now pulled in various directions intended to cause pain. With the temptation to utter that line out of his system the plot now called for a new bag. The AX would have to start deciding who exactly would go where on a basis that included possible interrogations of difficult suspects such as Makai. And now it would likely show just how he had gotten away from the Priest's holy predeccessors in the past. From within those lovely white locks of Luel's hair came at least five pure white serpents that were actually GROWING from the hair itself. . .turning the priest into a veritable Mandusa.
"Try to resist the temptation to get cornrows Father."

The agent remained calm, carefully removing his glasses before folding them up and placing them with equal care somewhere inside his vestements. The air grew heavy before popping sounds could be heard before full blown crackling snapped in the air. His silver hair seperated into strands.
"Oh." he said quietly, "I will." His gaze shifted to the dark figure. "But I'm not really the one who has to resist something. Your friend there looks like he's about to get serious."

"So. . ."
He replied in yet another voice, perhaps having decided to tempt fate even further by taking the chance to truly infuriate Luel. Knowing how he reacted to the voice of Isaak made him wonder if he despised the voice of another. Yet he had no clue that the two might have a closer past than he thought possible. Or perhaps somehow he knew from a familiar scent such as blood that the two had history together deeply interwoven.
". . .You really are just like him then, aren't you? But as for my friend over there I doubt he'll move a muscle unless you tell him so. He's at that stage you know, so impressionable."

Faint lines creased the corners of the priest's mouth that could have been either a smile, or a grimace. "As I said before..." his pale eyes gleaming faintly as his spectacles were tucked away. "...You really don't know what you're talking about."
"It sounds like you really enjoy worming around in other people's business...sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. But this time, you've slithered into a place and swallowed something you really can't handle."
He glanced upward, "Like, you know...that snake that swallowed those pair of lightbulbs in a barn and got stuck."
"She died because of someone's interference...I won't let that happen again." Static crackled in his ear but he ignored it, something he was prone to doing a lot more lately. Something had been weighing on the priest's heart for a while now. Something that unconciously forced him to show others his other self...much more often.
And more often that not, with very little provocation.

"You'd be surprised at what I can handle, considering those that I've met and retained my life thus far. In fact you would not even have me right now were it not for the Darkness' betrayal. But from that look on your face I'd say I've meddled in your family. Perhaps he is the brother gone bad? That would make his name rather fitting. Or is it her that you're related to? That girl and her little friend whom you met in the subway thanks to my generous efforts. . ."
Should this be the end for such a manipulative serpent, he was certainly keeping that smug attitude right up until the last breath. As if trying to be that straw that broke the camel's back he still continued speaking in the voice of Krusnik 01. If anything his digs at the two who held him were likely just a delaying tactic. For someone of his dark caliber another trick was always hidden up the sleeve. Just like a sadistic magician or even sorcerer with how easily those snakes had been made to appear seemingly at will. The gears were turning quickly in his scheming mind and it showed without any attempt to hide in those fiery orange eyes of serpentine appearance.
"Damn me to Hell. Why don't you? You're a priest after all and I'd say from my experiences that's what your lot does best isn't it? Telling someone that doing this or that will have them sent to this place or that place. Perhaps with my record you'll confine me to the state of New Jersey or Wisconsin."

The dark figure's betrayal? The priest's pale eyes glanced in it's direction once more.
"The brother gone bad..." he muttered quietly, a faint smile curving his thin lips. The priest raised his chin slightly, head tilting a bit. "You really don't know anything, do you..."
The wind swirled suddenly, a pair of black wings unfurling. A crimson scythe swept through the air, the sounds of bones snapping following soon after, like a beast stretching after a long nap.
