"If I could, wouldn't that be rather embarassing for you?"
He shot back with confidence, partially wondering if the ore had such mystical properties. But in all likelyhood it did not. Definately a fun bluff to pull on an opponent though which had managed to buy him some more time. For what? Planning the lunge he made off to the side next and plunging his stinger into a particular spot on the wall which had a different type of material altogether. It was Devil Iron which was an ore that glowed blue and had very strong magical powers.
Now the Stinger gave off a violet glow to match Cobier's eyes.

All of this color mixing made no sense to Legion. Was the guy playing some kind of satanic Simon game with his stinger? Was Legion going to have to remember this pattern or something? He shook his head, "Embarassed? I'm not the one flashing like a bar sign!"
The Methuselah's fingers wriggled as they clenched and unclenched into fists. No parts of him glowed, thankfully. But he did seem ready to rumble.

"Well I'll put it away if my flashing intimidates you."
The Stinger suddenly retracted, as Cobier finally rushed foreword at top-human speed. He was trying to gauge just how strong this opponent who could eat Harpies actually was in a fight. Every inch of him flowed with vitality of life & confidence, something that Legion lacked at least one of for sure.
Just before impact he spun away from the other, leaving his back wide open. But only just as an inhumanly fast backflip had been executed with precision.

The Auto scoffed, "You couldn't intimidate a pony bead!" Legion's feet slid over the gore-covered cavefloor as he took a more combat-oriented stance. The Auto lunged to the side as the backflip came close to taking off his face. His arm snapped out as a hand grasped the other's ankle, pulling him back toward the Auto as he attempted to slam the other against the ground, a followup heel coming to stomp on the other's chest if the move succeeded.

"And you couldn't intimdate Barney."
As his ankle was captured, the Hornet-keeper thrust out his hands to brace himself against the attempted ground-slam. With an acrobatic twist his other foot screamed through the air toward his opponent's head. Something might seem just a tad out of place for a few moments to Legion, which would be quite correct. Both of Cobier's legs actually had the strength to lift him up off the ground in quite an astonishing throw. Unfortunately his gloved hand slipped in Harpy-gore which resulted in the thro beng even fiercer.
What was unfortunate?
It nearly dislocated his right elbow.

"Oh," the Auto sneered, "Sounds like you hate him...what'd he do? Stand you up? Never see him again after that first night!?" The Auto growling out the last part as he threw his free hand out, something glinting as the foot streaked toward his delicate noggin.
The boot meant for his head would slam into something else much more solid than a skull. Now there was a spear lodged in the center of the cave; one end digging into the floor and one sharp end pierced into the ceiling.
The Auto released Cobier then and swaggered backward, a grin on his face. The second later he jabbed his fist forward, trying to strike the man's leg while it was still on one side of the staff. Most likely to try and snap the bone in two.

"What was that? All I can hear is DUR HUR!"
Cobier called out as his leg slid down the staff with consumate ease. His intention was a much simpler one which involved Legion breaking his own fingers with the force used. The Hornet-lord intended to make this enemy wish they had a soul to sell by the end of this fight in the Harpy cave. He would show no mercy, for he had none.
As the missed punch did or did not connect with the pole, the violet-eyed young man pushed up with inhuman strenth using one arm. The one that had not been nearly dislocated, if just about anyone cared to notice. Stylishly spinning he managed to manuever into a crouched position that ended with a lunge. Following forcefuly was a simple yet brutal tackle with both arms out in front of his face.
Infront of that pitfully shielded face suddenly sprung up an energy shield resembling that of a hive. More than likely it would come at the last second to throw off a counter-attack or grab. Another possiblity was that the shield would lessen any impacts for Cobier if he missed. Not to mention make it even worse for Legion if he should be on the other end of it.

"Why you--!" the Auto growled out at Cobier's insult.
Legion's wrist twisted as he continued to follow through with his punch, his fist opening for a brief second before snapping back down as he gripped the Spear. He yanked it back carelessly, breaking away chunks of the ceiling where it had latched onto the rock. As it was so roughly recalled the Spear actually changed it's length and shape, withdrawing until it was a size that could be wielded effectively in the close confines of the cave.
With likewise inhuman speed the Auto lunged forward, thrusting the spear directly toward Cobier. For either party on the end of the clash the shock of the impact must have been great. It did not seem to deter Legion though as a quick, dry snap of a laugh escaped him. The muscles of his forearms tightened as he gripped the Spear without fail. Just what would it take to bring down a Methuselah body with seemingly no sense of wearyness?

Lots of toothpicks, a bear trap landmine, and some extra chunky salsa.
Using the shield as a fullcrum to hold its deadly tip away from him, Cobier moved quickly while it still managed to hold up. It crackled ever so slightly with energy. Stomping his foot down on their was the first move in this fight that seemed to be between overgrown schoolboys. Next came the unsheathing of his Deadly Stinger once again, aimed for the closest shoulder that this enemy named Legion had to offer. But if that refused to work out properly there was always his Plan B to save the day.
There was ALWAYS Plan B.
Cobier's foot which had stomped on the other's now slid across it due to accumulated Harpy-gore with even more consumate ease than before. Why did this happen? Undoing the shield left a sudden loss of counter-pressure for Legion to push into. The lone foot came sliding along the floor between the Older's legs, his arm had moved just enough into the right pose so that when the shield reactivated it would act like a make-shift sled along the gore-floor. A sudden swift movement was made as he went between their legs, planting a firm inverse-type kick to their behind that would likely send them off-balance if it struck.

The stomp on his foot caught his attention and he twisted, barely missing the stinger by a hair, the large spike tearing a hole in his fine garments. HIS EXPENSIVE SHIRT! Legion growled as he thought about how much it might cost to get everything patched and clean and de-smelled after tonight and he felt his anger nearly go through the roof.
As the other's foot slid on the gore, Legion's own foot slid too, putting him off-balance enough so that he was actually forced to move his arms outward to keep himself from falling on his ass. The sudden loss of the shield his spear was pushing against was the icing on the cake as he completely lost all leverage. Then the kick came.
THAT. KICK. CAME.
The kick straight into his butt that sent him flying. The Auto landed on his face, sprawling forward into a puddle on the floor. His furious curses cut off briefly as he coughed and sputtered and spit what might have gone into his mouth. As he quickly got onto his hands and knees his head whipped around as he glared at Cobier like a rabid dog. "You'll pay for that!"

Cobier quickly rose to his feet after seeing his plan B had actually worked on Legion. Even if it had been something that was made up only a few seconds before the attempt. For all that anger he caused it sure seemed to bring some inner joy or pleasure. A grim satisfaction since he did not fathom his opponent's unseen strength.
"Sorry, but I'm broke. Unless it can be a payment plan of my foot connecting with your ass?"
Now the shield vanished once more along with the lance-type stinger that came & went in the style of a Methuselah blade. His weapons must have been on a trigger activated by sheer will that allowed devastating combat possibilities. Yet he did not seem particularly angry with Legion as the other acted toward him, perhaps finding this battle a bit more interesting. Just as much thrill that came with battling his last opponent who used deadly dental floss.
He took off running toward them again as he spoke while the weapons vanished. It might appear the Hornet-Keep was intent on giving another firm kick to his opponent's arse that remained up in the air. No one could refuse the presentation of a target like that! Even if it might lead him into a stumbling doom as his boots slid a little. Almost exactly like sock-skating on hardwood flooring but a lot more nasty & not to mention smelly.

"I'll beat it out of you!" the Auto snarled, his spiky hair making him look even more like a dog with it's hackles raised. "Or maybe I'll sell what's left of your body to some mad scientist!" He scrambled to his feet, pushing himself up off the ground with one hand as the other helped him keep his balance as he rushed forward. The cogs in Legion's head were probably grinding at a steady pace now as he realized that maybe he'd actually have to work for this victory. Oh well.
"Sorry little buddy, but I'm gonna have to borrow you for a sec!" he said out loud as a large grin was plastered into place. Flicking his wrist something green fell from his sleeve and into the palm of his hand, squirming a little but before a good look could be gotten it was popped into Legion's mouth, a loud gulp coming from him.
The Methuselah moved quickly now, something a little different about him. Namely that he seemed to be keeping a grip on the ground better than Cobier was. As his opponent began to slid anew he lunged his right hand forward, the Spear extending to try and impale him straight through the stomach.

What came next could have been considered intentional or merely a fluke.
Cobier started to realize he was slipping, just as the spear began to extend in a very unusual fashion. Leaning off to the right as an ice-skater might, it allowed him to move with rather impressive grace. His shield formed just in case that was not enough to avoid serious damage to internal organs.
"Please, I'd rather go to a museum INSTEAD!"
Knocking the spear downward if possible, he continued sliding foreword almost like a knight from the days of old. The Deadly Stinger was unleashed, now at a length of three feet, it was truly being used as a Lance-type weapon now. Using momentum gained from the gore he seemed ready to take down his opponent with one mighty stabbing blow. Violet eyes were glittering with the thrill of combat just as his stinger glowed in the same manner.

"A museum, huh!?" the Auto laughed, "Great! In that case all they'll need to have is your HEAD IN A JAR!"
As the spear plunged downward Legion maintained his own running speed, allowing the tip of his weapon to dig into the cave floor like a high-jump's javelin. He kicked and pushed off from the ground, maintaining his grip and form while simultaniously putting every high school track player to shame. Legion kept his body close, twisting over the stinger's path and over Cobier's head before jutting a foot out to kick at the back of that very same noggin while it was still in motion.

BOOT TO THE HEAD!
Cobier staggered foreword, slipping on the gore as the stinger vanished to prevent it from getting stuck in the cave floor. However the hive shield stayed out as the Hornet-Commander fell down entirely, absorbing the impact. For a few brief moments those eyes grew a bit more lively with a violently violet glow. As a possibly related result, the surrounding aroma seemed to vanish from covering up the Harpy smell.
"I'm sure that's where they found yours. In a jar. Labelled Abbey Normal!"
Distant buzzing of flies grew louder, until a hundred hornets appeared flying through the cavern right at Legion. Apparently something now attracted their deadly attentions. Without a doubt their venom might prove unsettling for Legion. In humans the japanese hornet venom was known to cause extreme cellular damage powerful enough to dissolve tissue.
