. . .
"In this particular case. . ."
"Yes."
. . .
Dare they try to explain?
"Melchior is sort of known for his Sexy Parties. They're very...uh...well they last a while. We all have to get up to go to work early in the morning--"
"And just can't keep up. At least in Dietrich's case. I'm simply far too busy to be bothered with parties."

"Oh."
She nodded in a way that hinted at the grasping of a basic concept and the point they were making in general. At least these two were dedicated to working hard for the Contra Mundi. Little did she understand laziness would likely result in a painful death. Or a fate even worse than destruction at the hands of a handsome devil. Like becoming an Auto-Jagar for Dietrich or one of Isaak's pet projects, an unlikeable existence to anyone that had not been screwed up psychologically.
Then something popped up in Samantha's head.
"I just realized! No one has told me where exactly I should stay once this tour is over. Do I stay with one of the senior members? Or the Contra Mundi? Or do I get my own room?"

That was exactly the question that had been lingering in Isaak's busy mind. Where would she stay indeeed...Well there was always some random guest room...a closet...with the Von Neumann's...In his lab...In pieces.
"I think, perhaps..."
"That you should stay with me." a velvety voice cut in, instantly drawing the attention of the Magier and Marionettenspieler.
And there he stood, yet again, his very presence turning the simple hallway into something far more grand. Cain smiled at the small group, reaching up to brush aside some stray locks as he took in their current huddled state. Just to note: he was fully clothed now, thanks.
Von Kampfer replied almost immediately, "Are you certain that's a wise decision, My Lord?"

The Green-haired girl started to turn the moment Cain's first words started to spill out. Eagerly anticipating the answer before it finished, her hopes obtained a deserving reward from the rest. Beaming happily at the decision, part of the girl almost started to walk toward the Krusnik in blind devotion. Unfortunately a question from the Panzer Magier cut her reflexes short from moving an inch. Eyes which were joyful now turned to look at the Ebony-haired man with some confusion at such a statement. Did she once more find herself in a situation with more unknown & implicit variables than she currently understood?
What would be wrong with that?
Samantha remained silent only in voice while watching to see the outcome. Anyone with eyes could tell she wished to be around the Contra Mundi. Certainly staying with him offered more security than Dietrich's quarters. But she did not carry any sway at all within the Orden yet, leaving her without any real say in the matter. Twildling her fingers slightly became the only bodily action she performed aside from breathing, remaining relatively still.

The main reason that Isaak had expressed concern were the unknown and implicit variables associated with Samantha's mere existence. Cain had not responded but the mage quickly added a low, "I do not mean to challenge your decisions but it -is- my job to make your well-being a priority."
The Contra Mundi merely smiled, his heavy-lidded eyes squinting slightly. "I think I'm a big enough boy to know what's good for me, Isaak-ou." His head tilted a bit as he looked down at the girl. "We'll get along fine, won't we?"

Beaming up at her Lord after hearing the final decision, she nodded once in a firm manner to cement the strong feelings. Unknown to her were the circumstances of her own existence, those facts which led to suspicion of her innocent nature. Of course the nature of her own powers were still wildly under-displayed to the world. Cain might find himself in slight awe of her abilities one day, should she ever learn to manifest them. Along with the minor fact that they remain uncorrupted by some outside influence.
"Um, I was wondering. . . do I-"
Cutting herself off briefly, the girl tried to put together the right words. Phrasing herself in the wrong way just might result in expulsion from the club or something. A punishment she did not want to endure since these were the only faces she knew.
"Do I have a specific thing that I'll be doing in the club? Just. . .just so I know I'm not taking away from the others. I don't want to make anyone mad."
Perhaps Dietrich's earlier words had affected her more than he knew?

Isaak was the first to speak. In a way it seemed that he was cutting off Cain, which he really might have been doing anyway. The Krusnik wasn't one to mince words and it was only a matter of time before the girl found out what they were really up to. Although up until this point none of them had lied to her. They were in the business of renewing the world...just by any means necessary.
"For now you will be mein herr's...personal assistant. We all have our own business to attend to so it is unlikely that you will 'be in the way'."
For some reason, off to the side where he stood silently, Dietrich smiled faintly.

"I feel blessed."
Samantha said after hearing her place in the heirarchy solidified. It brought her a great inner pleasure to know that a majority of her time would be spent with Cain. After all he fascinated her the most of all the other members. Which certainly spoke volmes about how she felt toward the man. But would any others get jealous of her position? Hopefully not, since it would sadden her to find out that her presence only caused uneccesary tension.
Little did she realize such a title had even worse implications outside this place. Villains to the RKO around the world would see her as a foe now. Every last victim of their plans all the way to their strongest opponents. A threat to the very way of life which currently existed, which considering her powers almost came like a harsh irony. Perhaps she alone possessed a hidden potential to undo any harm done to life. Yet it would remain un-used so long as she went on oblivious to their true intentions.

Co-existance would be achieved. If anything, blind-ambition to be the best at what they did would be enough to sate any bruised egos. Having the new God of the world smile on you for a job well done was the best any of them could hope to receive.
Blessed, indeed.
"Then it's settled." A slender hand reached over to grasp Samantha's shoulder. "You're coming with me. We have preparations to make!"

"Yay."
Very faint colorations of red tinged her cheeks at the Older's touch on her shoulder. Her tone had started loud but grew quieter in a vaguely pleased way. The smile changed from beaming to a smaller one that seemed to hint at the same amount of happiness on the inside. Just what did she feel in that small amount of contact? Wherever the Contra Mundi led her to now she would follow. Only a few circumstances might present the slightest hesitation to do any request. Blind loyalty? How could any more than that be expected from a day old creature? In time whatever life sent her way might open those eyes. . . or gouge them out.

"Yay." the Contra Mundi copied as he turned to lead the girl down the hall with him, leaving Isaak and Dietrich behind to their own devices. Though at the moment they only stared after the pair.

Following the Contra Mundi to wherever it was he planned on leading her, the girl silently started ponder a few things. Mainly: What did Cain think of her? Samantha understood he did not know her very well but still wondered about it just the same. A girl who mysteriously appears in Rome brought by a Witch to the main headquarters for one of the most evil groups in existence. One which acted as a home to some of the most sinister beings the world ever saw fit to produce, led by one not created on Earth at all.
