". . . . . . ."
He pondered for a moment or two until speaking again. But the words that came from his mouth were completely off subject. Why? Did he have a problem to admitting he did not know? No that couldn't be it at all. Perhaps he had an answer, but did not voice it due to her request to 'stop making it sound so scary'.
". . .Have you found Seidei yet?"
Adrian has seen the green boy last ime he was in London but, where was the tyke now?

"Huh?" the question had caught her off-guard. "What? No, I haven't." she said, shaking her head. "But he should he fine."
. . .
"Why are you asking?" >_> The question was warranted, since it was pretty much one of the first times Adrian had outright expressed any concern regarding the little bush-head. "He was around not too long go..." But just not very recently.

"Someone likely associated with them attacked you tonight. . ."
Unfortunately Adrian was using his built in melodramatic reflex, making it sound worse than it might end up. Then again it came off as a legitimate reason. But indeed why WOULD he be concerned about her little companion who seemed to despise him? Such a Half-breed did not want her to go through some maddening sense of loss he had after Dietrich rescrambled his brain or merely not knowing where the wrath might end.

"Attacked WHO?" an utterly disgusted pint-sized voice drawled. "I THOUGHT I saw a big vermin fly into the sky...looks like I was right."
From across the room a flashlight clicked on to reveal a sillhouette. Like a certain Sailor Scout the figure swished his arms around before striking a pose. "In the name of testosterone! Powered by all the sexy women who want to have my babies! I, Seidei, will punish you!"
". . ."

If one did not know Adrian normally had an emotionless demeanor about him, one might think his lack of reaction meant something else. Namely a reaction that would have been summed up in a 'Damnit he's alive' sort of way. But no one could truly say if the Half-breed felt that way toward Seidei even if the inhuman deserved it.
". . . . . ."
Seemed the Tragic Prince's dots had started a fad.

The silence was reaching deafening levels. Definately not the reaction Seidei expected. The boy drew back suddenly, "Wh-what!? What's wrong with you people!" The floodgates in his eyes were threatening to open. He drew his fists up to his chin. "You guys are all alike! You don't appreciate me at ALL!" Sobbing heavily he turned around dramatically and ran into a dark corner.
Luka's eyes slowly drew from where Seidei had stood, back to Adrian.
"Well...I guess your question is answered..." She coughed when his wailing kicked up in volume then went back down.

Adrian stood there for a moment in yet more silence, which was completely shocking. But then he finally decided to speak his mind. Or rather, just cut straight through the small talk like a Katana through butter.
". . .Since I departed for Rome, has anything strange happened to either of you?"
Plenty of answers could come to him from either Seidei or Luka considering their usual luck. It went without saying the destructive duo had a penchant for running into the oddities offered by the supernatural world. The Half-breed asked simply because not being in the know would put them all at a disadvantage. It would not be like him at all to go on without even caring a tiny bit about what his opponents might be working on.

Both of them really, really, really needed to work on their poker faces. Or the lack of them, which was the case. Both the girl and the boy jumped and looked over their shoulder.
"Eh..uh...erm..." Luka put a finger to her forehead. "Where shall I begin...You see, it sounds bad, but it really isn't MY fault..."
"Are you saying that it's MY fault!?" Seidei was in front of Adrian in a flash. "I'll have you know that I always warn her!...You know how it is! She's stupid! Not all her tools in the shed! Not enough courses for a degree!"

From their lack of poker faces the young-looking man could rather easily deduce something had gone on in his abscence. However he had yet to recieve a straight answer on what exactly had occured just yet. It became rather obvious that Seidei's rant was not the exact information he had been in pursuit of with that question.
". . .Keep talking. . ."

Luka spoke up first after Seidei suddenly hit the falter button. "Can I say that I don't remember? Because I kind of don't..." She laughed weakly, "Must have been a pretty wild time~...eh hehehe...heh..." >__> It wasn't working. She figured it would be best to be truthful >_> For once. This was serious business after all!
Reaching forward, Luka grabbed Sei by the scruff of his shirt and pulled him to sit beside her across from Adrian. "Well, you see...Seidei got kidnapped. Which was totally his fault."
"Nuh uh..."
"But anyway nothing really happened other than that...It was sort of like, Sei got kidnapped and I was gonna rescue him and did, but before that I got thrown off the building. But other than that everything turned out awesome!"
But of course, the parts she couldn't remember were the most important. They were key to the dreams that continued the haunt the Half Breed girl. The image she saw continuously in her mind's eye. That kind, loving, patient face that held an everlasting love only for her. A desire for her happyness that only a God should have. A God that Adrian may have had the chance of meeting before. But of course none of this could be revealed since no one but her subconcious held privy to it.
"Yeah. I remember that." Sei said stoicly, looking at his fingernails. "I found her on the roof beside me a little worse for wear. Other'n that it was awesome like she said." Suddenly, the boy perked up. "Oh yeah! We did make a new friend!" His lips turned downward in a smug look. "He's a much better match for Luka than you could ever be. . .they're so alike, it's scary!"

During the whole explanation which lacked finer details, he remained silent as ever in the hopes it would let them think clearly. Perhaps even give them more tim to wrack their brains over the events of Seidei's attempted kidnapping. Might it have been the RKO? Isaak could very well be just the type to try something like that. . . but it remained to be seen in person. The young man might have mentioned dreams, in fact, he did after thinking about her comment on not remember the entire event. Such a thing likely related back to a rather memorable invasion of his dreams by a Succubus posing as his mother.
". . .What about your dreams? Repressed memories may show up inside of them. . ."
At the comment Seidei made about Luka's new friend, that statement was made. It almost seemed like he was ignoring it entirely. Did he not want to think that he could be the worst person possible for her to be with? Maybe he already did. . .holding onto the relationship out of a selfish pursuit for personal happiness. But then again it just wasn't his style. Should there be any true reason. . .it probably involved ignoring the comment to prevent any throttling of the Green-haired punk.

The girl was silent for a time and spoke just a smidgen before someone might suspect that something was wrong. She placed her hands flat behind her back on what she sat on, reclining slightly. "I don't...have dreams." she replied quietly, in a lazy tone that said she didn't really care. When perhaps, she did.
Adrian had dreams, didn't he? A half-vampire...who was half-human. He was capable of dreams. Luka on the other hand had never had a dream in her life. Besides, perhaps, dreaming about having dreams. Did this mean that she was even less than human? A lower creature who was incapable of hopes and dreams? When she slept it was the sleep of the dead, or she didn't sleep at all but merely went through the act. But in reality she had no use for dreams. She felt no need for them. She had never mentioned such a thing before...
Probably because she wanted to appear as 'normal' as possible for the person she. . .
"Repressed memories? I doubt it." she said in an almost annoyed manner. "Besides...you'd know if that was the case, wouldn't you?" She gave Seidei a nudge and he nodded. "Yeah, I know EVERYTHING!" Of course, Luka had meant it in a more serious manner, but the boy had to twist it to sooth his own wounded pride. Apparently their bond went a little deeper than what it looked like on the outside.
But at the thought of her new friend, a slight blush crept over her nose and cheeks before she could help herself. "Don't be silly. H-he's just a good friend! Besides! He's totally TOO weird, even for me. There's absolutely NOTHING there!" She grinned at Adrian. "Because I already have something somewhere else!"
But another explanation for why she felt no attraction to him was the possibility that he was a sibling. There was only the friendly attraction, the one that made her feel like she belonged. His bright attitude was something she couldn't deny. Besides, he saved her life. Just as she saved his. It was an equally strong, but entirely different bond than the one she felt she had with Adrian.

At her last remark, Luka might have yanked a smile from deep within the emotionless Adrian had there not been others around. Perhaps he was 'shy' after all? Then again, she might catch the emotion her words caused glimmering in his eyes softly for a moment or two. Maybe it was also the source for the brief triumphant gaze tossed in Seidei's direction. On top of every other little thing going on. . . one might wonder if the Tragic Prince hoped for some time alone with the woman he had come so far to see.
Perhaps Liam could lead Sei off on an adventure to go get mystical ice cream & wimminz. The Green-haired brat could have the Kirin turn into an adorable dog to attract the ladies. And then at the last moment the Pervy Pair would unleash their MANLINESS.

Of course, with Seidei being the fiend whose selfish power was ultimate, he had errands to run. "Unfortunately I can't waste time here with you fools...I have to get back to WORK, if you know what I mean~" And with a pervy little giggle, the bushy-headed brat pranced toward his exit of choice.
Liam, seeing his chance to escape as well, stood up suddenly. "Master, I have to check on something as well!...I-if you know what I mean..." the last sentence was said rather awkwardly. "I mean...bye." Looked like the Kirin was missing London more than he let on.
In time, they were indeed left alone. Luka's grin had melted down into a distracted soft smile, her gaze focused on her hands in her lap. Slowly, it was starting to hit her how long he actually had been missing. She'd noticed every day but simply chalked it off to him being busy. But now she knew that practically everyday he'd been gone, he had been in danger.

It was an akward silence, what most called Hell, Adrian called home.
But once his ears could no longer detect the sound from footsteps of those who had departed just now, he began to walk toward Luka. The aura he gave off now had changed rather substantially from when they had first been reunited tonight. Even now it altered to remove a bit more of the gloom that followed. Blood & death. . .those two aromas often followed him due to the circumstances that often brought him out of slumber.
Silently, he came to sit down beside her.
